My research is best described as the study of the many phases of matter. Strongly interacting many particle systems often behave in a manner dissimilar to their constituents and lead to new states and new functionalities. Developing an understanding of how this comes about and how it can be utilized to our advantage is focus of our group here at UC Riverside. Currently our work focuses on high temperature superconductivity, graphene, heavy fermions and dissipation driven quantum phase transition.
